This information is pretty buried, but I dug and dug yesterday and everything on their discord server, Reddit, etc makes it clear that the addon just doesn’t work unless you install the third party app now and use it to download Auction House data via the web APIĪs soon as you download the third party app, they try to upsell you on their premium subscription: I just have mine updated by the curse client automatically and mine is up to date and works fine. Since WowAce and Curseforge were migrated a few days ago all WoW addons that have updates available are shown as 'modified' in the Curse App.
Maybe Blizzard’s terms of service have changed, but last I checked even asking for donations on an addon was a big no-no. This is not only wrong but also annoying because it renders the 'update all' button useless. This even applies to addons that were already updated multiple times since the migration - e.g. This situation with TSM seems particularly bad, since it’s widely promoted by YouTubers and the like as a way to “Never pay for game time again!”. I don’t want to install their shady, completely unnecessary app (AuctionHouse full scans only take a few seconds even in prime time on large servers if you use another addon)Īlso, their addon has a proprietary license, so I can’t just fork it and cut that part out.
